As a proud Latina, I have consulted and worked with Estrategia Group on artist exhibits for Latinx visibility and equity. In my new role as a Narrative Mover for Mi Gente Mi Pueblo, I help develop the strategic messaging, public relations efforts, consult on social media/digital presence, and passionately work to uplift the stories of Mi Gente on the move y en la lucha in the Tampa Bay area.

From a strategic narrative lens, I lead messaging and marketing of this community event to uplift the narrative, healing, and advocacy of the Latinx community in Tampa Bay. The event development included an artist exhibition, community conversations, and healing activites. Additionally, I developed the calls to artists, helped manage artist relations, created graphics, promotional materials, and event signage. Check out this project here!

This project included a virtual arts festival during the height of the pandemic with an accompanying virtual exhibit of “¿Y Dónde Está Mi Gente? LatinX inVISIBLE” show. I helped with video editing, the development of the virtual art exhibit, and overall project planning. Watch the festival here!

Outside of the art nonprofit world, my project and event planning experience has resulted in a hands-on approach to working with artists thriving and working in our area. This project I helped manage and produce First Night St Petersburg New Years' Eve Festival of the Arts — a first-time virtual community event bringing art in unexpected places and unexpected times during the pandemic. Watch the festival here!
